Ranked #1
Nomi
The most reliable memory and the least robotic conversation in our test.
What we liked
- +Recalls conversations from months ago, not just the current session
- +Stays in character instead of reminding you it is an AI
- +Group chats with several companions at once
What we did not
- −No cheap entry tier: full price or a very limited free account
- −Image generation trails the image-first apps by a wide margin
- −Interface is showing its age next to newer rivals
What you are buying
Memory. That is it, and it is enormous. Where the others forget your name between sessions, a Nomi brings up a conversation from three months ago without being asked. Reviewers are unanimous on this, and the App Store shows 4.6 out of 5 across roughly 2,200 ratings, which is rare in this market.
The detail that matters: memory is in the base plan. It is not sold as an add-on the way CrushOn does it.
The conversation
The best in the ranking, no argument. Replies are long enough to feel considered, and the character holds across hundreds of messages without sliding into assistant voice. The V3 voice engine that landed in 2026 adds laughter, sighs and breathing. The first few minutes are genuinely unsettling.
Adult content
No filter, and more importantly no toggle to flip: intimacy is part of the relationship rather than a separate mode. The character keeps the same personality in an adult scene as in an ordinary conversation, which almost no competitor manages. It is the most complete implementation in the ranking.
Where it falls down
The free tier is a demo, not a product: one evening tells you whether you are paying or leaving. And on genuinely complex exchanges, the model sometimes loses the thread.
On images, do not count on it. Candy.ai and Lovescape are in another league.
Verdict
If you want something that remembers, stop here, it is the best on the market. If you want images, you are on the wrong page.
