The pitch: memory
Dondi builds its entire message on one point: the companion remembers. A persistent memory graph, more than a hundred specialised models, continuity over weeks. Feedback converges on this, and it is genuinely what separates the product from the generic end of the sector.
A caveat on use: that argument is repeated verbatim by most pages that “review” Dondi, and many of them are affiliate pages. We have not measured the memory ourselves over several weeks. Treat it as a credible promise, not an established fact.
The price
$14.99 a month, down to $5.99 a month on annual commitment, which is the 70% discount plastered across the site. At that price, with image generation included and no filter, the proposition is reasonable.
On form, less so: the homepage repeats a “limited offer” box with a five-minute countdown three times on the same page, and it restarts on every visit. It also claims “over 50 million users”, a figure no public source supports and which would put Dondi ahead of Replika.
The real problem: your conversations feed training
It is written in their privacy policy, which we read: your content and interaction data may be processed by AI systems, and that processing includes model training and improvement. No opt-out mechanism is described.
Add that the operator, “dondi.ai Labs Inc.”, states no country of incorporation. So you know neither where your data sits nor under which jurisdiction to claim it back.
For an AI companion app, where by construction you hand over what you tell nobody else, that is what sinks the score. If this criterion matters to you, Nastia AI is the obvious alternative: European operator, GDPR applicable, conversation export.

Uncensored, claimed on the homepage, with age confirmation on entry. Images and video included. Broad catalogue, including male characters and an anime world.
Verdict
The best conversational product among this batch of newcomers, and the worst on privacy. Take it if relationship continuity is your criterion and using your exchanges to train a model does not bother you. Otherwise Nomi holds memory just as well and Nastia AI treats your data better.
